Three days in Turin: city and crown

Three days is the ideal amount of time for Turin: enough to cover the city's major sights and still fit in a full day trip to the splendid Savoy residences just outside town. This route keeps the pace relaxed, leaving room for coffee, aperitivo and a proper Turin stroll.

Day 1 – The royal centre

The first day belongs to the heart of the city: Piazza Castello, the Royal Palace with the Musei Reali, the cathedral with the Holy Shroud, and the elegant Piazza San Carlo, rounded off with an aperitivo under the arcades.

Day 2 – The Mole, museums & the Po

Day two is built around the world-famous Egyptian Museum, along with the Mole Antonelliana and its cinema museum and viewing deck. The day winds down with a relaxed walk through Parco del Valentino by the Po.

Day 3 – The royal countryside

The third day heads out to the standout sights nearby: the monumental Reggia di Venaria Reale with its gardens, and – via the historic rack railway – up to the Basilica di Superga, with its sweeping view over Turin and the Alps.

Yes, three days is ideal – two days for the city and one day for the royal countryside with Venaria and Superga. If you also want to see more of Piedmont (Langhe, Sacra di San Michele), plan on longer.
Can you combine Venaria and Superga in one day?+
It's ambitious but doable if you start early in Venaria. It's more relaxed to give Venaria a full morning and add Superga afterwards depending on time and weather – or simply tack Superga onto one of the city days instead.
